Dr Kamlesh Sheth wins FPM’s Volunteer Award 2026

Posted on: Tuesday 30 June 2026

The FPM Volunteer Award is given to an individual in recognition of consistent and/or outstanding efforts and contributions that have helped the FPM to achieve excellence in our mission to advance the science and practice of pharmaceutical medicine. This year, Dr Kamlesh Sheth has been awarded this honour.

Dr Sheth commented:

Being awarded the FPM Volunteer Award is a profound honour. Throughout my career, the specialty of Pharmaceutical Medicine and the Faculty have provided me with invaluable opportunities – from working alongside a Nobel laureate to helping pioneer new treatment models for rare diseases. My motivation to volunteer has always been simple: to give back to a community that has shaped my professional identity, and a desire to make a tangible difference to the specialty and FPM.

While I have always contributed without expectation of recognition, it is deeply rewarding to receive this award, as it serves as a meaningful validation that my efforts have, in some way, made a difference, which is exactly what I set out to achieve. I am truly grateful to my colleagues, my nominators, FPM team and, most importantly, my family. I suspect they deserve a secondary award of their own for the many hours of ‘family time’ they generously allowed me to borrow for the Faculty.
