Posted on: Friday 6 March 2026
This International Women’s Day (Sunday 8 March), we are very proud to highlight the achievements, leadership and impact of women who inspire change and break down barriers across healthcare, science and beyond.
We are fortunate to work alongside many inspiring women whose expertise, dedication and lived experiences are shaping the future of medicine and improving patient care.
On this day, we’re pleased to spotlight just a few of the voices, stories and initiatives that reflect this impact.

FPM Voices

Each interview explores personal career journeys, key lessons learned, and the role that FPM has played in shaping professional growth.

International Day of Women and Girls in Science
Earlier this year, we also marked the International Day of Women and Girls in Science (11 February) by highlighting the vital contributions women make across science, research, and innovation.
Through reflections from our President and Vice President, and Q&As with three of our Fellows, we explored the achievements, challenges, and opportunities for women in science while recognising the progress made and the work still to be done to better support the next generation of women entering the field.
