FPM Volunteer Award

The FPM Volunteer Award is given to an individual in recognition of consistent and/or outstanding efforts and contributions that have helped FPM to achieve excellence in our mission to advance the science and practice of pharmaceutical medicine.

Nominating someone is a wonderful opportunity to give recognition to an individual whose contribution to FPM has gone above and beyond, or has had a significant impact on our work as a charitable and professional membership body.

FPM Volunteer Award

Who can be nominated?

Anyone who has done voluntary, unpaid, work for FPM can be nominated for this award.

Can I nominate someone?

FPM members, FPM staff and lay members serving as volunteers (e.g. as a lay member of a committee) can nominate. All nominations must be supported by a seconder.

How to nominate

You can nominate someone via our online form. Nominations should include:

  • Name of the person making the nomination
  • Name of the nominated individual
  • A supporting statement of 300-1000 words that details the nominee’s contributions to FPM
  • A seconder

A list of nominees will published on our website and in our newsletter. If you have any questions, please email membership@fpm.org.uk

How are the winners chosen?

The Fellowship and Awards Committee will review all nominations on a case-by-case basis. Only the information submitted by the nominator will be considered and any conflicts of interest will be declared at the beginning of the review process.

The committee will judge each nomination on its individual merit, without reference to any specific criteria, with the final decision agreed by a vote. The nominated awardee will be presented to the Board for final approval.

What do winners receive?

The winner will receive an award and will be invited to our annual awards ceremony for formal recognition of their work amongst their peers.
