Symposium

What will you get for your online ticket?

For those unable to attend in person or preferring the convenience of virtual participation, our online platform Zoom, offers a user-friendly interface for accessing live-streamed sessions. From insightful keynote speeches to interactive panel discussions, attendees can engage with industry leaders in real-time, participate in Q&A sessions, and connect with fellow delegates from across the globe. We want you to have the same experience as in-person attendees. Meet your FPM friends and colleagues on the Zoom platform, ask questions and receive CPD points. Sorry you’ll have to provide your own tea, coffee and lunch, the technology is not quite there yet!

Plus, with sessions available on-demand after the event, you can revisit your favourite discussions and catch-up on missed content at your convenience.

Please note: delegates attending online, will only be able participate in the live stream sessions and streams taking place in the main auditorium (Wellcome Trust Lecture Hall). We will confirm the chosen streams closer to the time.

FPM Annual Symposium 2024 theme

For this year’s FPM Annual Symposium we’re joined by leaders from across the global life sciences community – pharmaceutical physicians, scientists, regulators, patients and policymakers – to explore the specialty’s contribution to science and practice in a range of endeavours. They include the harnessing of AI which, together with other novel technologies such as precision medicine and genomics, has enormous potential for gathering evidence, targeting treatments, and enhancing the patient experience, but also bring new risks and challenges.

We will explore how health systems around the world must adapt as chronic physical and mental health issues become more prevalent, reflecting upon pharmaceutical medicine’s vital role in understanding impacts and developing mitigations. We look at pioneering treatments to control the effect of infectious diseases on populations, and explore issues of equity and access, and the role of patients in co-designing the future of healthcare, all the time equipping delegates with relevant tools and knowledge.
