FPM is your membership body, and we rely on member support to make a big impact.
If you would like to do more to support our work, promote the best standards in pharmaceutical medicine and improve the discipline, then we have a variety of ways in which you can get involved.
Contact us at fpm@fpm.org.uk if you are interested in supporting FPM. Even if there are no current volunteer vacancies listed, we would still love to hear from you.
We’d love to hear from members with ideas that could support pharmaceutical medicine.
You can share your idea by emailing media@fpm.org.uk. Please include the issue you want to address, the intended impact, any proposed outputs, and how it supports the FPM Strategy 2026–28.
I am proud to volunteer for FPM because it allows me to give back to a specialty I value, while continuing to learn from colleagues across the community. Through the EDI Forum, I have found opportunities to connect, reflect and support meaningful work. Through the Trainees Committee, I help bring the PMST trainee voice into conversations shaping the future of pharmaceutical medicine.

Volunteering with the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine gives me the opportunity to contribute to the future of a profession I care deeply about. I particularly value the chance to help shape how we communicate the importance of pharmaceutical medicine and ensure policy keeps pace with innovation – always with patients at the forefront of our thinking.

The reasons for volunteering at FPM are two-fold. One is to support FPM in promoting innovation in medicine development and attracting new talent. Secondly is for actively connecting the physicians in my group both in the UK and globally with the opportunity to join a hub of pharmaceutical medicine excellence, where they can learn more from experts and peers.
