RCPCH Conference Workshop on Sustainable Medicines

Earlier this week, our President Dr Sheuli Porkess joined fellow speakers Dr Helena Clements, Mr Stephen Tomlin and Dr Susan Tansey FFPM to deliver a workshop on Sustainable paediatric prescribing: Beyond the prescription pad at the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health Conference 2026.

The session brought together perspectives from paediatrics, pharmacy, and pharmaceutical medicine to explore the challenges and opportunities of sustainable medicines development. The discussion also highlighted the importance of collaboration between clinicians, industry, and children and young people to more effectively improve health outcomes while reducing our environmental impact.
