Women in Clinical Trials Webinar Part 2: A Patient’s Perspective

Tuesday 29 September 2026
12:00-13:30

Following the thought-provoking discussions at the FPM Symposium 2025 on the future of pharmaceutical medicine and women’s health, one challenge remains impossible to ignore: women continue to be underrepresented in many areas of clinical research and drug development. This has significant implications for the evidence that informs healthcare decisions, the safety and effectiveness of medicines, and ultimately, patient outcomes.

The first session in this webinar series examined the barriers to participation, reviewed real-world case studies, and highlighted examples of best practice in improving representation across clinical trials.

In this second webinar, we turn our attention to the patient perspective. What are the experiences, concerns, and motivations that influence women’s participation in clinical research? How can we design studies that are more inclusive and reflective of the populations they aim to serve?

Hear directly from patients and experts as we explore how the future of clinical research can better reflect the needs, experiences, and voices of women. Discover the challenges that remain, the progress being made, and the actions needed to create more inclusive and equitable drug development.
