In our Fireside Chat series, FPM welcomes inspirational speakers.
We open the floor, and allow them to talk about their career, their passions, and the things that they believe are important to advance the science and practice of pharmaceutical medicine.
This event will be hosted by Dr Marc Watson FFPM with guest speaker Bernadette Davies.
Marc is a Pharmaceutical Physician and Fellow of FPM. Marc lives with Bipolar Disorder and has long been an advocate for improving conversations around mental health, and removing the stigma that is often associated.

As well as benefitting from over 30 years’ experience working within mental health service provision, Bernadette has been awarded a PG Diploma in Social Work and an MA Leadership in Public Service. Bernadette has worked in senior roles in the third sector as well as in a consultant role with national mental health organisations and a leading London University.
With this experience in the background, Bernadette is passionate about delivering the suite of training that the Samaritans Training and Engagement Programmes offer and has been doing so for the past ten years alongside being as associate trainer for I Act; Grassroots charity and National Centre for Suicide Prevention Education and Training.
Bernadette is experienced in delivering training to a wide spectrum of customers including the Armed Forces, Universities, large corporates, smaller enterprises, as well as to community-based organisations.
Bernadette also provides therapeutic support utilising skills gained whilst qualifying as a Master practitioner in Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) coach, Hypnotherapy, Kinetic Shift and Time Line Therapy.
