Message from the Chair of FPM’s EDI Forum on Black History Month

Black History month is marked in the UK and several other countries in October, it presents a great opportunity for the FPM to shine a spotlight on some of our inspirational members and staff who have African lineage; they will share their cultural heritage, lived experiences – both professional and personal, insights and reflections to focus on how we can learn from, understand and support each other across the pharmaceutical medicine community.

This month we will hear from Dr Juliet Addo MFPM(Dis) – Head of Africa Open Lab for GSK, Dr Marcia Philbin – Chief Executive of FPM and I will also share my reflections.

We encourage all of our members, fellows and beyond to engage and contribute to marking this important event with stories and reflections which can enrich our efforts to leverage Black History Month and build even stronger connections between us. We look forward to hearing from you fpm@fpm.org.uk
