How to access and share your FPM digital membership badge

Earlier this month, we launched FPM’s new digital membership credentials, giving members a simple and professional way to showcase their membership and connection to FPM.
Your digital membership badge provides a credible way to demonstrate your current FPM membership and professional standing, while your digital membership card gives you convenient access to your membership credentials directly from your mobile device.
It has been fantastic to see so many members already sharing their badges on LinkedIn. If you haven’t yet shared yours or added it to your LinkedIn profile, here are our top tips for getting started.
1. Where is my digital badge?
Eligible members were sent an email on 16 September 2026 from credentials@fpm.digitalmembership.co.uk, containing a link to access their new FPM digital membership badge and membership card.
If you can’t find the email in your inbox, please check your Junk or Spam folder. If it’s not there, email us at membership@fpm.org.uk and we’ll investigate.
Once you have found the email, simply follow the link to access your digital membership badge and other credentials.
2. How can I share it with my network?
Our new digital membership badges have been optimised for sharing on LinkedIn, but can also be downloaded for sharing across other professional networks.
For LinkedIn, there are two parts to the process: adding the credential itself to your profile and posting your badge to your network. We recommend doing these separately.
3. How do I add my badge to my LinkedIn profile?
Click the link in your email to visit your digital badge home page.
Tip: Before adding the credential to LinkedIn, click ‘Download’ to save an image of your badge. You can use this when creating your LinkedIn post.
Then select ‘Add to LinkedIn profile’ and follow the on-screen instructions.
Depending on your LinkedIn settings, you may then be prompted to share the update with your network as a ‘New Certification’ post. We recommend clicking ‘Skip’ at this stage. Don’t worry – this only skips the automatically generated post. Your badge will still be added to the ‘Licenses & Certifications’ section of your LinkedIn profile.
Sharing your badge
Create a new LinkedIn post and upload the badge image you downloaded previously.
In the caption, you could share what being an FPM member means to you, or how your professional connection to FPM has supported your career.
And don’t forget to tag FPM – we’d love to see and celebrate your posts.
4. What happens next year?
You may have noticed that your digital badge has an expiry date of 31 December 2026.
This is because your badge verifies your current FPM membership, which is renewed annually through payment of the relevant membership fee.
Each year, eligible members will receive an updated digital badge reflecting their current membership status. We recommend adding your new badge to your LinkedIn profile each year so that your professional profile remains up to date.
Please note that badges for Honorary Fellows and Honorary Members do not have an expiry date.
5. Help us make it even better
Digital membership credentials are a new FPM initiative, and we’d love to hear about your experience so far.
Have you added your badge to LinkedIn? Was the process straightforward? Have you found another useful way to use your badge? Is there anything we could improve?
Share your feedback via our short form.
Thank you for helping us make the launch of FPM digital membership credentials a success – and, most importantly, thank you for being part of the FPM community.
We look forward to seeing even more FPM badges proudly displayed across your professional networks.
