The role

Background

The Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine (FPM) is a charity and membership body for doctors who work on all aspects of medicines research and development. Our small team works closely with the Board of Trustees and our 1,600 members to deliver on our mission and our strategic objectives, to improve the health of the public around the world.


The role in brief

The Specialty Training Coordinator role is an opportunity for someone who is organised, has excellent customer facing skills and can work collaboratively with others to join FPM’s Education team initially on a 12-month contract which could be made permanent. The post is focused on the operational delivery of the Pharmaceutical Medicine Specialty Training Programme and medical trainee revalidation.

We are looking for an individual with skills in administration, communication, and collaborative working. The ideal candidate will have experience of working in regulatory environments where attention to detail is required and be interested in actively contributing to the operations supporting the delivery of the Pharmaceutical Medicine Specialty Training Programme including committee administration, recruitment of new trainees and administering the coordinating the different strands of quality management activities.

FPM offers a fantastic benefits package, including flexible working, 29 days annual leave (prorated), and Christmas closure days. A pension is offered after 3 months. The role is offered subject to successful completion of the 3-month probation period.

Salary: £28,000 (at 0.8 FTE)

Hours: Part-time at 28 hours per week

Term: 12-months initially

Location: Islington office with the option to work from home up to two days per week following successful completion of qualifying probation period.
