The Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine (FPM) is seeking a new Digital Communications Coordinator.

FPM is excited to be recruiting for a new Digital Communications Coordinator, to support the growth of our influential social media and digital communications platforms. We are looking for a digital communications professional who is able to work collaboratively as part of a team, will take a proactive and enthusiastic approach and drive our digital activities to even greater heights. The position also offers the opportunity for professional support and development and comprehensive in-house and external training will be provided, so the right person will develop key skills and knowledge, alongside a strong understanding of the membership and health charity sector.

FPM is a small charity and membership body based in North London. Our members are pharmaceutical physicians – doctors who are experts in all aspects of medicines development. FPM and our members share a key goal – to advance the science and practice of pharmaceutical medicine to improve the health of patients around the world. Our small, vibrant and professional staff team work to support our members through education, training, networking, advocacy and public engagement activities.

About the Digital Communications Coordinator role

This role will support FPM’s corporate communications via digital channels. The postholder will mainly be helping in the production of social media posts, email campaigns, website updates and provide audio-visual production support. You will have responsibility for:

  • Preparing social media posts, including text, design and scheduling, and create social graphics from Canva templates and monitoring social media activity.
  • Liaising internally and externally to gather information for the monthly FPM Bulletin and other email campaigns to members, and designing, testing and sending email campaigns and maintaining accurate audience lists.
  • Using the WordPress content management system to upload content to the FPM website, including proofreading and checking for brand consistency.
  • Supporting the production of video content to amplify FPM’s messages and promotional campaigns.

Pay and conditions

The starting salary will be £28,000. FPM offers a fantastic benefits package, including flexible working, 29 days annual leave, Christmas closure days, birthday leave, cycle to work scheme and pension scheme.
