Fees and payments


Annual membership subscriptions are due for payment by 16 February 2018. If you plan to pay online, your invoice may not show in your online account - a system upgrade means some fees aren't available for online payment. You can either pay by bank transfer instead or call us on +44(0)20 3696 9040 to pay by card over the phone. Email if you would like to confirm if you have paid or to request a receipt.

Our subscription period runs from 1 January to 31 December each year and you'll receive an invoice by email shortly before the 1 January.

FPM is not registered for VAT. The subscription fees are tax deductible for UK taxpayers


Concessionary annual subscription rates for 2018

Reduced rate £110
Out of Practice rate         £60


The Reduced rate applies to those members who are earning less than £15,000 per annum from pharmaceutical or other medical practice as a result of unemployment, part-time employment, parental leave, illness or other reasons. Fellows, Members, Associates and Affiliates are eligible for this concessionary rate.

The Out of Practice rate applies to those members who have no paid engagements in either pharmaceutical or clinical practice and have retired completely from medical practice. Fellows, Members and Affiliates are eligible for this concessionary rate.

Reduced Affiliate rate (low and lower middle income economies)

FPM also offers an Affiliate Reduced rate membership fee of £60 to new and existing Affiliate members who qualified in and are currently practising in specific countries.  The reduced fee is based on the current World Bank classification of both low and lower-middle income economies as listed on

Applicants who have qualified in and are practising in countries on these lists will be eligible for the reduced fee and the criteria for Affiliate membership remains the same regardless of the country of the applicant's qualification or practice. Make a payment for a subscription fee

Online: Members can pay online if you have registered on the FPM website, once logged in click on the MyFPM button and then the Pay My Fees option.  We accept VISA, Mastercard and American Express debit and credit cards.

Direct Debit: Members with a UK bank account can pay their subscriptions by Direct Debit (see below). 

Bank transfer: Payment must be made in GBP and our bank details are included on the invoice.

Cheques: Make cheques payable to the ‘Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine’, write your member number on the back of the cheque and post to FPM, 19 Angel Gate, 326a City Road, London EC1V 2PT.

Set up a Direct Debit

If you wish to pay by Direct Debit and have a UK bank account, complete the Direct Debit instruction form and send it to the FPM office by post or scan and email the form to Subscriptions are normally collected in mid-February. Members paying by Direct Debit will be informed at least 14 days in advance of the date of the collection of fees.

Receipts and copy invoices

If you pay online you will receive an automatic email confirming payment. If you pay by bank transfer, cheque or direct debit, we will email a receipt as soon as payment has cleared (cheques can take up to 8 days to be processed).

Arrears and re-joining 

Any member who is more than twelve months in arrears with payment of any annual subscription will be deemed to have let his/her membership lapse and shall be removed from the register.

If you wish to reinstate your FPM membership, complete the Reinstate Membership form and send this along with a copy of your CV to the Head of Membership at

If your request to reinstate is accepted, a re-joining fee of £110 will be payable along with any outstanding unpaid subscriptions.
