Generating Momentum in Innovation on Shifting Sands

In the face of substantial changes in many aspects of the healthcare environment, ranging from reductions in globalisation and internationally harmonised approaches, to increasing mistrust and misinformation, the ability to deliver innovation that benefits global healthcare has become much more challenging. We will hear thoughts on how to maintain and generate innovation in more uncertain times; looking for where there may be opportunities despite this global uncertainty and how to navigate through this period of intense change to harness innovation to work towards security and equity of healthcare to bring treatments to all.

Good Sense and Good Science: Inclusion in Pharmaceutical Medicine

Healthcare equity has always been a challenge to deliver reliably, despite being focus for many years. Recently however the repositioning of Diversity Equity and Inclusivity initiatives, with reduced international funding for overseas development, makes this increasingly difficult. We will hear thoughts on the impacts of these challenges and how we can work to actively influence the delivery of equality in our specialty. Whether through creating momentum through major initiatives or multiple small changes, how can we ensure that we do not lose sight of our objectives to deliver for the widest populations in need?
