Start date: Thursday 21 March 2024
End date: Thursday 31 October 2024

Diploma in Pharmaceutical Medicine Training Programme

The Diploma in Pharmaceutical Medicine (DPM) training programme has been designed by FPM to prepare candidates for the Certificate in Pharmaceutical Medicine (CPM) and Diploma in Pharmaceutical Medicine (DPM) exams.

The programme is mapped to the PharmaTrain syllabus, on which the CPM and DPM exams are based, aiming to improve knowledge across six broad topic areas, with three additional exam technique courses that explore technique and question practice across the three types of papers that feature in the CPM and DPM exams.

How will you learn?

Programme content is delivered through FPM’s learning management system (LMS), providing flexibility that allows participants to make more effective use of their time, as well as offering focused support and resources.

The first six modules cover specific topics, delivered over consecutive calendar months, and feature guided learning paths containing a range of self-study materials, as well as live expert-led sessions, delivered via Zoom to allow for face-to-face interaction of more complex topics and the opportunity for Q&A.

The self-study materials provided in the programme during a module month may include:

  • Study plans
  • Reflective practice
  • Guided reading
  • Recorded presentations
  • Recorded interview
  • Discussion forums
  • Quizzes
  • Practice exam questions for each topic area

The final three modules are exam preparation courses. Each module provides you with an opportunity to sit a mock exam paper on the LMS, receive feedback on your script, and attend a live session running on a specific day. Each live session will focus on exam technique and provide helpful hints and tips for the three types of papers found in the CPM and the DPM exams: multiple choice questions (MCQs), short answer questions (SAQ) and the critical appraisal paper (CAP).

For the first time this year, we are offering Modules 1-6 on demand. This means that you can continue to book onto these modules even after the expert led sessions have been delivered. You will be able to access all the learning content and make use of the recordings of the session on the LMS. However, if you wish to attend the live sessions on Zoom, we highly recommend booking ahead of time.

Please note, the final three exam revision modules will not be offered on demand, and you will need to book these courses before 23rd August.
