CPD Audit

FPM has completed its audit of participants’ CPD activities for 2011. The report on the audit is available to download (PDF, 69KB).  Following the introduction of revalidation FPM is currently not conducting annual audits on CPD records.  Please note that is possible to print out a Certificate of CPD directly from the e-system covering a period of time which you can pre-define. You do not therefore need to submit a paper Annual Return Form to FPM every January to obtain a certificate.  We are still issuing these for 2013 but only upon request – please contact us for further help.

Effectiveness of CPD Report

Download the AoMRC’s Effectiveness of CPD: Final Report from 2010.

The report was prepared on behalf of the College of Emergency Medicine, Manchester Metropolitan University and the Federation of Royal Colleges of Physicians. It was commissioned by the GMC and the Academy of Medical Royal Colleges.

The report is based on research carried out for a GMC study into the effectiveness of CPD. It has involved non-training doctors from staff grades to senior consultants, including those primarily involved in management, CPD provision and assessment, and institutional officials, such as Deaneries and universities, across a range of specialties.

The Academy of Medical Royal Colleges (AoMRC) has provided a useful reports and guidance page on CPD.
