Chairperson of the Education and Standards Committee 

Applications are invited from members of the Faculty to lead the Education and Standards Committee as chairperson for a three-year term of office commencing 2nd November 2018.  Our current chairperson will be standing down having completed the maximum of two consecutive terms of office.

How to apply

Please send us a written statement explaining why you are interested in the role and how you meet the appointment criteria, giving examples.   A copy of your current CV should also be included.

Applications are invited from PMST trainees who are interested in joining the FPM Trainees' Committee either as a member or as its chairperson.

Revalidation Appraisers

Are you interested in being a revalidation appraiser for the Faculty? If so, please contact us for further information. You will need to be GMC Registered with a Licence to Practise. Training is provided.  Please contact revalidation@fpm.org.uk to find out more.

Raising awareness and careers

Medical careers fairs

Would you like to encourage and inform the next generation of pharmaceutical physicians?! Can you spend an afternoon or evening to help out and volunteering to attend careers fairs to help out on the FPM stand and speak to medical students and doctors about why they should embark on a career in pharmaceutical medicine? Please register your interest in attending a careers fair at b.cottam@fpm.org.uk

Advice and placement database

Can you help to advise and inform, by email, phone or over coffee, medical students and doctors about what a career in pharmaceutical medicine is like? Could you even offer a placement in your company for a day, a week, or even longer? Contact Ben Cottam at b.cottam@fpm.org.uk to join the Faculty ‘advice and placement database’ and we will contact you periodically with requests for advice.
