Committee Vacancies

Policy and Communications Group (PCG)

The PCG is a dynamic and innovative group, which oversees and supports all the public policy and communications work of FPM. This includes oversight of the FPM expert groups, production of the JFPM and bulletins, events production and media engagement. While all group members attend meetings and make decisions collectively, each member also takes the lead on a particular area, which can be tailored to the expertise present within the group. The group works very closely with an integrated FPM staff team in the implementation of workstreams

The Ethics and Practice Committee (EPC)

The EPC is a vital element in the FPM’s standard-setting function and in its mission to bring benefits to patients. The committee’s remit covers upkeep of Good Pharmaceutical Medical Practice and associated resources, ethics and best practice guidance for FPM members, and liaison with external stakeholders in the area of medical and research ethics. The committee has also recently expanded its remit, to incorporate an FPM member support and wellbeing function, and is hence looking to add new committee members.

Trainees' Committee

Join the new ‘Medical Devices, Diagnostics and new technologies’ FPM Expert Group

FPM is expanding its role in the innovative fields of medical devices and diagnostic medical devices, with knowledge, skills and advocacy. Hence, we are seeking members for a new expert group covering these areas, including new technologies and Artificial Intelligence. Find out more.

Revalidation Appraisers

Are you interested in being a revalidation appraiser for the Faculty? If so, please contact us for further information. You will need to be GMC Registered with a Licence to Practise. Training is provided.  Please contact to find out more.

CESR evaluators

A pharmaceutical physician can apply to the GMC to be awarded a Certificate of Elgibility for Specialist Registration (CESR) if they want to gain entry on to the specialist register for pharmaceutical medicine without undertaking Pharmaceutical Medicine Speciality Training (PMST).

We would like applications for five evaluators who will responsible for evaluating CESR applications and making recommendations to the Joint Royal Colleges of Physicians Training Board (JRCPTB) as to whether the GMC should award the applicant a CESR.

Would you like to encourage and inform the next generation of pharmaceutical physicians?! Can you spend an afternoon or evening to help out and volunteering to attend careers fairs to help out on the FPM stand and speak to medical students and doctors about why they should embark on a career in pharmaceutical medicine?
