Conversation with Dr Richard Bergström, Director General, EFPIA

The responsibilities of the pharmaceutical industry to society

Dr Richard Bergström is the Director General of EFPIA. Dr Bergström is a pharmacist by training and has broad experience of the pharmaceutical industry across Europe. He will discuss how best to listen to governments, patients and other stakeholders to ensure industry meets the expectations of society, and provides better healthcare for all citizens, and an ageing population that enjoys a high quality of life.

Faculty conversations are designed to give our members the unique opportunity to engage with eminent figures in industry, government, regulation, academia and clinical practice. The evenings consist of a buffet dinner, followed by around 1½ hours of discussion and debate, with drinks and networking to finish - a perfect combination of the professional and the social.
