Certificate in Human Pharmacology

The Certificate in Human Pharmacology is a 1-year part-time programme for doctors and scientists to attain and demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of all aspects (design, monitoring, analysis, reporting, safety, ethics, regulation and law) of exploratory studies of IMPs in man.

· enables staff to ask the right questions, anticipate and address potential issues, learning from the experience of others
· increases the effectiveness of individuals and strengthens the team as a whole

Curriculum:
Courses and private study
· 2 x 5-day courses on Phase I studies and Pharmacology
· satisfactory completion of assignments

Written examination - 2 written papers

The fee for trainees enrolling on the CHP programme is currently £4100 which covers administration of the programme, teaching and materials associated with the CHP courses and the examination. The fee does not include travel or accommodation expenses or the Certificate document if successful.

Examination
The first examination will be held in January 2010. Examination Regulations and Procedures exist and are available from the Faculty office on request.
