Communications Committee

The general functions of the Communications Committee shall be:

1. To serve as a communication / information clearing house in which role it monitors the activities of the various Faculty organs and produces digests of these, which can be issued in various forms to the membership to keep them properly informed in an up to date way on Faculty affairs and activities.

2. To co-ordinate Faculty affairs and activities.

3. To create and maintain an efficient informatics system.

The specfic funtions of the Communications Committee shall be:

1. To be responsible for the major meetings and other keynote events held by the Faculty.

2. To develop effective policies for communication.

3. To explore and where appropriate develop new approaches for increasing the Faculty's sphere of influence and its ability to fully discharge its statutory obligations to its parent Colleges.

4. To be a sensitive and listening ear where the interests of the broad membership are concerned.
