CAAM Mission Statement

CAAM aims to be the accessible face of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine, actively seeking the views of Associates, Affiliates and Members of the Faculty, acting as a forum where the views of this group can be discussed and presented to the officers of the Faculty and functioning as a point of contact for pharmaceutical physicians who seek further guidance on any aspect of the speciality. The Committee also contributes to the achievement of the goals of the Faculty to advance the science and practice of pharmaceutical medicine for the benefit of the public.

CAAM Remit

CAAM's purpose is to:

1. To support the stated charitable aims of the Faculty.

2. To widen the influence and reputation of pharmaceutical physicians within the medical community and to safeguard the public welfare in this important field of medicine.

With respect to the Associates, Affiliates and Members of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine:

3. To represent the interests of this group of pharmaceutical physicians to the Faculty Officers and Board.

4. To actively seek the opinions and concerns of this group of pharmaceutical physicians.

5. To identify and discuss matters of particular interest to this group.

6. To provide a link between the Faculty and these physicians.

7. To help disseminate information on the Faculty to those new to industry.

8. To provide an accessible source of practical advice about revalidation, continuing professional development and Pharmaceutical Medicine Specialty Training (PMST)/Higher Medical Training (HMT).

9. To introduce and support Associates, Affiliates and Members wishing to contribute to the Faculty.
